Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Quintuplets born for the first time in the DPRK left the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital on June 19.
The mother of the quintuplets (two sons and three daughters) who were born on January 31 is Pak Kyong Sim living in the neighbourhood unit No. 76 in Janghyon-dong, Moranbong District and their father Son Chung Hyo is a student of Pyongyang Commercial Service College.
Under the advantageous public health policy of the socialist state, Pak Kyong Sim was urgently sent to the maternity hospital soon after being confirmed as a woman pregnant with several embryos. And she received the best medical assistance, including scientific and advanced treatment for pregnancy maintenance, under the special care of a medical team, and safely gave birth to babies.
The babies who have grown up in the incubators weigh over 4.7 kg, and the fourth baby (son) 6.48 kg.
The healthy mother and quintuplets were warmly seen off by doctors and nurses of the maternity hospital. -0-
