Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Kim Sun Ok, a woman living in Neighbourhood unit No. 6 of Ransan-ri, Kangdong County of Pyongyang, on her 100th birthday.

The old woman received the birthday spread amid the congratulations from officials of the Kangdong County Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and villagers. Greatly moved, she expressed her gratitude to Kim Jong Un.

Born into a poor family before national liberation, she had been subjected to maltreatment and contempt. She took the lead in aiding the front during the Fatherland Liberation War with a mind to repay the benevolence of the Party which put forward the working people as the masters of the country. In the postwar period, she fulfilled her responsibility and duty in the fields of electric power industry and the preservation of revolutionary relics.

Everybody respects her as she brought up her children to be patriots and had voluntarily worked in the agricultural sector for over ten years even after becoming a pensioner. -0-
