Many People in DPRK Visit Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site

Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- There has been a steady increase in the number of visitors to the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site in the DPRK.

The Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site is an important base for education in the revolutionary traditions as it shows the anti-Japanese revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung who advanced the policy of advancing into the motherland and led the historic battle of Pochonbo to victory.

This year, the site has been visited by students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, officials and working people of many units including the Kyongsong Ceramic Complex and Phyongsong University of Education, service personnel and youths and students.

At the battle site, the visitors laid bouquets and flowers at the statue of President Kim Il Sung imposingly standing in the military uniform he used to wear during the anti-Japanese war, and paid tribute to him.

Going round various places of its museum, they keenly realized that the history of guerrillas and the spirit of Mt Paektu with which they defeated the Japanese imperialists by their own efforts are the lifeline and eternal treasure of the revolution. -0-
