KCU Birthday Celebrated in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The members of the Korean Children's Union significantly celebrated the 80th KCU founding anniversary.

Pak Thae Song and Jo Yong Won, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Ri Hi Yong, Jong Kyong Thaek, Sin Yong Il, Jo Chun Ryong, An Kum Chol, Kim Jong Gwan, Kim Tok Hun, Jon Hyon Chol and other senior Party and government officials visited all provinces (municipalities) of the country on June 6 to celebrate the KCU founding anniversary with the schoolchildren.

They met and congratulated the KCU members who have distinguished themselves in study, organizational life and do-good-thing movement at their excellent schools with the desire to prepare themselves as pillars of the revolution, knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy.

Senior Party and government officials attended the celebrations of the KCU birthday together with the schoolchildren.

At provincial (municipal) joint meetings of KCU organizations, they asked the KCU members to live as required by the KCU rules at any time and anywhere and become young patriots, always bearing in mind the pledge made by them at the admission ceremony of the KCU.

The celebration performances impressively represented the vigorous and bold appearances of the happy schoolchildren realizing their dreams and hopes and leading the happiest life under the care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Senior Party and government officials also enjoyed the sports and amusement games together with the schoolchildren. -0-
