Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Kim Il Sun, a woman living in Neighborhood Unit No. 24, Ungsang-dong, Sonbong District in Rason Municipality of the DPRK, on her 100th birthday.

Receiving the birthday spread amid the congratulations of villagers, the woman centenarian expressed her gratitude to Kim Jong Un, deeply moved by the benevolence of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea.

She, who was born into a poor peasant family and had to experience the sorrow of a stateless nation before the liberation of Korea, had honestly worked at her revolutionary post for decades with a resolve to repay the benevolence of the Party which provided her with a genuine life and dignity.

She brought up her children to be faithful to the country and has striven to do good things for the country even after becoming a pensioner.

Officials of the Sonbong District Party Committee visited her family to congratulate the auspicious event. -0-
