Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Many units in the DPRK are making successes through a movement for winning the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest.

After the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest was instituted in February 2015, the Ponghwa Chemical Factory and other units won the title in January 2019 for the first time. And the number of units honored with the title has increased every year in provinces, cities and counties of the country.

This year alone, hundreds of units, including the Equipment Assembly Station of the Kangdong Hydro-power Construction Complex, the Namjong Farm of the South Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee and the Kyongwon County Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, were awarded the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest.

Nearly ten thousands of units have won the title over the past decade. -0-
