Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is actively aiding the railway sector.

Unjon County provided enough cement, aggregate and other materials needed for sprucing up the appearance of Unam Railway Station, and repaired defective parts in the railway section in time to contribute to the safe operation of trains.

Sakju County carried out the cracking and replenishment of more than 2 000 cubic meters of ballast in a short span of time and repaired the retaining walls as required by technical regulations to ensure the safety of the railway roadbed.

Pakchon County encouraged the working people to replace the boundary stones in the section extending several kilometers and supply a large amount of supplies to the railway platoons.

Meanwhile, the provincial people's committee, the provincial general hospital and other units have rendered material and moral assistance to the railway field. -0-
