Farmers of Honam Farm in DPRK Move into New Houses

Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- New dwelling houses have been built at the Honam Farm of the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee, which adds to the joy and optimism of the agricultural workers who have greeted the autumn of a good harvest.

The houses in the suburbs of the capital city picture a new appearance of the socialist countryside prospering day by day and more beautiful future under the great benevolence and wise leadership of the Central Committee of the great Workers' Party of Korea making an effort to provide the agricultural workers with better and more civilized living conditions.

A ceremony of moving into new houses took place on the spot on October 19.

Present there were officials of the Party and power organs in Pyongyang Municipality and Samsok District, builders and agricultural workers.

An address was made, and licenses for the use of dwelling houses were handed over to be followed by speeches.

As a congratulatory performance and dancing party were given and the whole village was in a festive mood, moving into their new houses began.

Officials visited the owners of the new houses and presented them with daily necessities, sharing joy with them. -0-
