Pyongyang, March 28 (KCNA) -- A workshop for officials in charge of ideological work from the provincial, city and county committees of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea took place in Phyongsong City, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK, on March 25-27.
Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, and officials of the union from across the country.
The workshop dealt with the issues for all the UAWK organizations to conduct the ideological education for their members in a more offensive way in keeping with the new era of great changes, mindful of the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea that the union should become the vanguard unit in the struggle for the Korean-style socialist rural development.
The speakers called for concentrating the focus of the union's ideological work on imbuing the entire union with the revolutionary ideology of the respected Comrade
They stressed the need to more vigorously conduct the political work for arousing the union members to the struggle for attaining the goal of grain production and turn all union's organizations into ranks strong in organizing ability and unity.
They talked about the achievements and experience gained in the course of preparing the union members as masters of the rural revolution.
Various political and cultural activities were also conducted during the workshop. -0-
