Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to So Su Gun, a woman centenarian living in people's neighborhood unit No. 65, Suwon-dong No. 1, Phohang District of Chongjin City in North Hamgyong Province, on her 100th birthday.

Officials of the Pohang District Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and her family members and relatives and neighbors visited her house to congratulate the centenarian.

Born into a poor peasant family before the liberation of Korea, So had been subjected to all sorts of maltreatment and contempt.

She took the lead in the struggle for increased food production during the Fatherland Liberation War, in order to repay the benevolence of the Party and the country that provided her with a genuine life and dignity, and had worked hard for agricultural production for decades

She brought up her children to be dependable pillars at major posts of socialist construction and would ask them to do more work for the country while remaining intensely loyal to the Party's leadership. -0-
