Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The DPRK-Russia children's friendship camping began amid the interests of the peoples of the two countries.

The friendship camping at the Songdowon International Children's Camp included schoolchildren's camping groups in the DPRK and Russia.

A ceremony of starting the DPRK-Russia children's friendship camping took place on July 22.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Song Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials concerned and campers. A camping flag was hoisted at the ceremony.

The vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league and the director of the Songdowon International Children's Camp made congratulatory addresses.

Colorful fireworks were displayed in the sky above Songdowon and there were a ceremony of a schoolchildren's brass band and a small drum group and the march-past of campers. -0-
