Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The urban management sector of the DPRK directs efforts to providing the people with more stable and civilized living conditions and environments.

The Ministry of Urban Management and the relevant units have worked out this year's stepwise plan for repairing flats and public buildings and are now pushing ahead with the project as scheduled.

North Hamgyong Province repaired hundreds of flats ahead of schedule and gave Chongjin City a facelift.

South Hamgyong Province arranged the roofs of more than 1 900 flats and dozens of public buildings.

South Hwanghae Province established a regular preventive repair system and learned about the condition of buildings. And it applied advanced working methods to ensure the quality of the project at a high level.

North Hwanghae Province and Nampho Municipality have repaired dwelling houses and public buildings as scheduled. -0-
