Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Kim Chae Gum, a woman living in Neighborhood Unit No. 11, Yangchon-ri, Hwadae County, North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK, on her 100th birthday.

The centenarian's house was in a festive mood as officials of the Hwadae County Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, relatives and neighbors came to congratulate her family on its auspicious event.

She expressed thanks to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

She, who experienced the sorrow of a stateless nation, could lead a worthwhile life under the care of President Kim Il Sung who liberated the country and provided a genuine life for her.

During the Fatherland Liberation War, she contributed to the transport of wartime materials at her post. After the war, she had worked hard with a resolve to uphold the country with rice.

Even after becoming a pensioner, she had worked for the sake of the country and encouraged her descendants to fulfill their duty as agricultural workers. -0-
