Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- Nampho Municipality of the DPRK is boosting the public interest in education.

In March, a month of aiding schools, the municipality organized an educational aid exhibition and sent educational institutions more than 22 000 pieces in 190-odd kinds of teaching aids and furnishings, educational equipment and experiment and practice apparatuses all of which were on display at the venue.

Officials of the municipal rural economy committee and other units rendered sincere assistance to Nampho University of Education and Nampho University of Agriculture.

Officials and employees of the municipal public prosecutors office, the municipal foreign trade administration bureau and the Taean Friendship Glass Factory provided computers and LCD TVs to educational units so that they could make education IT-based at a higher level and prove successful in teaching and education in the new school year.

The officials and workers at the Chollima Steel Complex, the Taean Heavy Machine Complex and the Kumsong Tractor Factory, too, supplied many teaching aids and furnishings and experiment and practice apparatuses.

The municipal communication management bureau, the West Sea Barrage Office and other units provided building materials and educational equipment to contribute to giving a face-lifting to schools and putting education on a modern and IT basis.

Onchon County and Waudo and Chollima districts organized educational aid exhibitions and sent apparatuses necessary for teaching and education to universities and other schools. -0-
