Ice Sculpture Festival Goes on in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- The Ice Sculpture Festival-2025 in Celebration of February 16, the birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il, is going on with splendor in Samjiyon City of the DPRK.

Officials and working people in Ryanggang Province created hundreds of ice sculptures to be presented to the festival in reverence for Kim Jong Il.

Officials, working people, school youth and children in the province and members of the groups of study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu have visited the venue of the festival.

Looking up to the image of Chairman Kim Jong Il in the center of the festival venue, the visitors looked back on the revolutionary career of the peerlessly great man.

Ice sculpture "Best Wishes" is associated with the world of ardent yearning for Kim Jong Il.

Seeing ice sculptures depicting the headquarters log cabin where the red flag of the revolution flutters, buglers and slogans of the anti-Japanese guerrillas with letters "Spirit of the Blizzards of Paektu" inscribed, the visitors learned once again the great personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who raised the hot wind of education in the revolutionary traditions and the revolutionary spirit through his horseback march to the battle sites of Mt Paektu.

On display at the festival venue are sculptures showing the changes in Samjiyon City and the happiness of the people.

Sculptures and visual decorations of diverse themes also drew admiration of the visitors. -0-
