New Houses Built in Jagang Province of DPRK

Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- Eye-opening changes have been undergone at the Koun Farm, Ryongrim County of Jagang Province of the DPRK along with the new era of rural development.

Single-storied and terraced modern dwelling houses have been built, convenient for the living of the agricultural workers.

They display the validity and vitality of the policy on rural construction of the Workers' Party of Korea which set it forth as an important task to make all rural villages across the country rich and cultured ideal socialist villages in the near future.

A ceremony for moving into those new houses took place on the spot.

Present at the ceremony were Jon Yong Sop, secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials, builders and agricultural workers in the county.

Paek Chun Nam, vice-chairman of the provincial people's committee, made a congratulatory address.

Licenses for the use of the new houses were handed over and oath-taking speeches made.

Amid the delightful peasants' music and dancing, officials congratulated the agricultural workers moving into the new houses. -0-
