Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea met with winners of the Communist Mother Honor Prize at the Hall of Women on March 4 to mark the 115th March 8 International Women's Day.
Present there were Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, officials of the women's union and members of the women's union in Pyongyang.
The winners made speeches at the meeting.
Choe Ok Ae, a woman living in Munsin-dong No. 1 of Tongdaewon District, said that she only did what she should do as a mother to make her children have deep love for their native place and schools from their childhood, know the value of the socialist system and live up to its deep care. However, the Workers' Party of Korea put forward her as a patriot and a communist mother respected by people, she added.
The story of Ri Yong Hye, a woman living in Mirae-dong of Phyongchon District who positively encouraged her children to make valuable research successes conducive to building a powerful socialist country, impressed the participants.
Paek Jong Suk, a woman living in Kwangmyong-dong of Unjong District, said that she would make sure that the patriotic tradition of placing the country above the happiness of a family is given steady continuity, calling upon all the mothers to train their sons and daughters to be true revolutionaries boundlessly loyal to the ideas and leadership of the Party with pure conscience and sincere maternal affection.
