More Young People Volunteer for Difficult Jobs in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- One hundred young people in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK have found their jobs in difficult and labour-consuming sectors.

Young people in the cities of Kusong and Jongju, and Taegwan and Phihyon counties proposed to their youth league organizations to send them to city and county construction brigades.

Those in Sonchon, Pakchon, Thaechon, Kwaksan and other counties volunteered to work at raw material production bases and those in Changsong, Chonma, Uiju and Sindo counties petitioned to work in rural areas.

A meeting took place on July 25 to congratulate the volunteers.

Present at the meeting were Sin Tong Chol, secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and young people. Volunteer certificates were awarded to the volunteers and congratulatory address and speeches were made.

After the congratulatory performance, officials and youths presented bouquets to the volunteers leaving for new posts and saw them off. -0-
