Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- University and college students in South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK including those of Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering, Hamhung University of Hydraulic Engineering, Hamhung University of Medicine and Hamhung Choe Hui Suk Teachers Training College toured the Yonggwang County Revolutionary Battle Site on the occasion of the 94th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army.

The revolutionary battle site is associated with the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung who roused up the people to the all-people resistance for national liberation while organizing and guiding the activities of small units, groups and political workers of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in September 1937.

Looking round the venue of the meeting on Mt Sambat where the President made a historic speech "For a Fresh Upsurge in the Revolutionary Struggle in the Homeland" before political workers from the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and chiefs of underground revolutionary organizations, the university and college students keenly realized that the revolutionary traditions created during the anti-Japanese armed struggle are the strong root of our revolution.

They went round the camping site, spring site, the site of cooking rice, etc. associated with the personality of the revolutionary forerunners who overcame all difficulties with firm faith in the victory of the revolution and optimism, holding the President in high esteem as the centre of unity and leadership.

In front of the trees bearing the slogans preserved with much care, the visitors recalled the strong and noble mental world of the fighters who waged a death-defying struggle with the determination to beat the enemy though one may die a thousand deaths.

They had a meeting for hearing impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas, a contest of singing revolutionary songs in chorus while marching in array and a poem-reciting meeting during their tour. At the meetings and the contest they said that the spirit of devotedly defending the leader, ardent patriotism and revolutionary optimism possessed by the revolutionary forerunners serve as the banner of sure victory to be carried forward by the new generations. -0-
