Young People of DPRK Volunteer for Major Worksites of Socialist Construction

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- After the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, many young people across the DPRK have volunteered to work at major worksites of socialist construction.

In hearty response to the intention of the Party attaching importance to the coal industry, a large number of youths in South Phyongan Province advanced into advanced bases of the self-supporting economy.

Young people in North Hwanghae, North Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces volunteered for construction brigades.

Graduates of Kanggye University of Education left their hometowns to work in the area of Mt Paektu.

Those university graduates in Kangwon and North Hamgyong provinces volunteered to work at remote mountain branch schools and rural schools.

Youth league members in Ryanggang Province put their names on the rolls of volunteers.

Joining those volunteers, youths of the Ministry of Railways vowed to work at the difficult and labor-consuming worksites in the railway transport sector. -0-
