Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea (SWUK) held a meeting at the Hall of Women on Dec. 16 to hear the noble virtues of Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise.

Present there were Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the SWUK, officials concerned and officials of the women's union and its members in Pyongyang.

At the meeting the speakers said that the noble revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il who laid an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the socialist country and happiness of all generations with his outstanding idea and gigantic revolutionary practice is a history of warm love and boundless devotion.

They highly praised the undying ideo-theoretical exploits of Kim Jong Il who formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and proclaimed the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea after analyzing and reviewing the 100-year-long history of the ideology of the preceding working class in his early years.

They told with deep emotion about the stories recorded on the arduous roads to the front taken by the iron-willed brilliant commander who firmly defended the independence, dignity, justice and peace and led the socialist cause to victory, weathering out the tempest of the history in the van.

They said about the noble life of the Chairman who made ceaseless journeys for the people by train with his steel-strong will and indefatigable energy till the last period of his life. -0-
