Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- The light industrial sector in the DPRK completed the production of sportswear, thermal underwear, shoes and socks to be sent to the children across the country.

The Ministry of Light Industry and the Ministry of Regional Industry worked out the plans for producing daily necessities and gave production assignments to factories, while ensuring the supply of materials and technical guidance.

The Pyongyang School Uniform Factory, the Mangyongdae Garment Factory and the Sadong Garment Factory carried out their assignments for producing sportswear of different sizes, shapes and colors to suit the characteristics of children's ages and their aesthetic tastes by introducing rational and efficient cutting and processing methods.

The Pothonggang Garment Factory and the Pyongyang Changgwang Garment Factory raised cutting yield and observed the requirements of processing guides.

The Hamhung Knitwear Factory ensured proper process-by-process engagement and made collective innovation in the production of thermal underwear through a socialist emulation for improving quality.

The Ryuwon Footwear Factory established a quality control system to produce stylish sports shoes.

The Pyongyang Hosiery Factory finished producing hosiery of various colors and patterns suited to the tastes of children. -0-
