Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Dozens of young people in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK volunteered to work at theaters of socialist construction.
Young people in Puryong and Kilju counties proposed to the youth league organizations to send them to the county construction brigades.
Those in Kim Chaek City and Orang, Kyonghung and Myonggan counties volunteered to work at raw material bases.
Young people in Chongjin City, Hoeryong City, Musan County and Myongchon County advanced into workplaces including mines, farms and forestry stations seething with the drive for increased production and economy.
A girl teacher of the township of Myonggan County decided to work at a branch school in the mountainous area out of the mind to repay the trust of the Workers' Party of Korea which set her up as a teacher revolutionary.
A meeting was held on May 14 to congratulate the volunteers.
Certificates were awarded to the volunteers and congratulatory and oath-taking speeches were made at the meeting attended by Kim Yong Hwan, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the youth league and youth.
There was a congratulatory performance at the end of the meeting.
Officials and young people presented bouquets to the volunteers and encouraged them leaving for the new revolutionary posts. -0-
