Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- Many members of the women's union in Sinuiju City and Uiju County, North Phyongan Province of the DPRK petitioned their organizations to work in the field of urban management.

Women in Hadan-ri, Sinuiju City who volunteered to work at an urban management station are full of determination to make the villages which have been given a facelift thanks to the care of the Party more beautiful ones with their sincere sweat and efforts.

Many women including the women's union members in the township of Uiju County volunteered to work at afforestation establishment stations and water supply and sewerage management station.

A meeting for congratulating and seeing off the volunteers took place at the North Phyongan Provincial Art Theatre on Jan. 28.

Present there were Sin Tong Chol, secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and members of the women's union. A congratulatory address and speeches were made at the meeting.

A music and dance story "Our Father" telling about the great loving care shown by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un for the flood victims of the province was given there.

Officials and members of the women's union saw off the volunteers leaving for their new posts. -0-
