University Graduates in DPRK Volunteer to Work at Major Worksites

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- University graduates in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK have decided to work at revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and schools in mountainous areas.

A graduate of the History Faculty of Phyongsong University of Education volunteered for a lecturer of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

Graduates from Phyongsong University of Education and Phyongsong Teachers Training College volunteered to work at schools in Taehung, Maengsan, Sinyang and other mountainous counties.

Among them are graduates determined to work at a branch school in a remote area and to teach disabled students.

Present at a congratulatory meeting held on Thursday were Secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Jang Ki Chol, officials concerned, officials of the youth league, youth and students.

Speeches were made there.

After a congratulatory performance, officials, youth and students gave bouquets to those volunteers and encouraged them. -0-
