Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- More than 60 young people in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK volunteered to work in the forefronts of socialist construction.

Young people in Sinuiju City were determined to bring into full bloom their ideal and hope of youth at a large-scale greenhouse farm under construction.

Those in Kusong City and Tongchang, Tongnim, Yomju, Cholsan and Nyongbyon counties petitioned the youth league organizations to send them to city and county construction brigades out of their desire to transform all the rural areas into a socialist land of happiness, true to the programme for the rural revolution in the new era.

Those in the counties of Unsan, Ryongchon, Sonchon, Thaechon, Sakju and Pyokdong volunteered for raw materials bases with their desire to bring earlier the new era of regional rejuvenation.

Among the volunteers are young people in the counties of Kujang, Changsong, Phihyon and Chonma. They are full of the enthusiasm for filling the granary of the country as the masters of rural revolution in the socialist countryside.

A meeting to congratulate the young people who volunteered to work in the difficult and labor-consuming sectors of socialist construction was held in Sinuiju City on July 3.

Certificates were awarded to the volunteers and a congratulatory address and speeches were made at the meeting.

Officials and young people in the province saw off the volunteers, presenting bouquets to them. -0-
