Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- Every street in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, is colorfully decorated on the occasion of the New Year 2025, adding pleasure and optimism to the citizens.

The national flags were hoisted up the flagpoles at Kim Il Sung Square, Pyongyang Indoor Stadium, People's Palace of Culture, April 25 House of Culture and other major places and large posters and slogans, signboards, large flags and groups of flags were installed to greet the New Year.

The festive mood is revved up by the night view of the capital city.

Letters including “Happy New Year”, “The New Year 2025”, “Hope-filled New Year”, “Our-state-first Principle” and “Power” were screened on the walls of the high-rise buildings near the Tower of the Juche Idea and the Ryugyong Hotel, eloquently demonstrating the appearance of the country advancing towards rosier future.

Several places of the city were decorated with peculiar electric lights, delighting the citizens. -0-
