Women's Union Members Volunteer for Major Worksites

Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- In recent one month, more than 600 women's union members in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK volunteered for major worksites to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Women in Sunam and Songphyong districts of Chongjin City petitioned their organizations to dispatch them to school uniform factories.

Those in Kilju, Kyonghung and Musan counties advanced into newly-built regional-industry factories, raw material base stations and construction brigades. They are now loved and respected by the collective as innovators at their worksites.

Those in Kim Chaek City and Kyongwon and Yonsa counties vowed to take part in public life, out of their mind to demonstrate the spiritual strength and revolutionary mettle peculiar to the Korean women at every worksite.

Officials and women's union members in relevant regions saw off the volunteers leaving for their new worksites, presenting them bouquets. -0-
