Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Friday:

- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, had talks with Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China.
