Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Preparations for the 2nd People's Art Festival for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star (the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il) were completed in the DPRK.

The festival organizing committee renewed the scale and performance mode of the festival.

Units to participant in the festival were selected.

Opening and closing ceremonies to be held at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre have been prepared in a special way and theatres and halls in Pyongyang Municipality for performances splendidly decorated. -0-
