Joint Friendship Gathering of DPRK and Russian Young People Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- A joint friendship gathering of the DPRK and Russian young people took place at the Central Youth Hall on April 20.

Present there were Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league, university students in Pyongyang Municipality and members of the visiting delegation of the United Russia Youth Guards led by Anton Zemidov, chairman of its Coordinating Council.

The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the DPRK were played.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Mun Chol said that the DPRK youth are pleased to see the Russian people and youth carrying forward the history and tradition of victory in war, smashing the moves of the hostile forces under the leadership of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

He stressed that the peoples and youth of the two countries would be closely united forever as true comrades and comrades-in-arms and win victory after victory as there are deep friendship between the top leaders of the DPRK and Russia and the common ideal struggling for justice and truth.

Anton Zemidov and other youth organization delegates said that they felt the feelings of friendship of the DPRK youth during their stay.

All the members of the United Russia Youth Guards are impressed by the wisdom and determination of Comrade Kim Jong Un, the outstanding state leader, and his devotion to the people, they said, adding that under his leadership the DPRK is demonstrating its strength and achieving unprecedented development and prosperity in all fields.

They expressed deep thanks to the DPRK for extending full support and solidarity to the Russian cause against the hegemony of the West and its practice of neocolonialism, saying that the Russian youth would always stand by the DPRK youth on the road for genuine international justice and peace.

An art performance was given by the art squad of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.

Colorful numbers were staged and Russian songs resounded.

The young people of the DPRK and Russia danced together to the tune of delightful melodies, deepening the friendship. -0-
