One day in January Juche 42 (1953) when the Fatherland Liberation War was at its height, President Kim Il Sung received an urgent report that the enemy was planning to launch a large-scale attack on the hilltop "T".

With a deep insight into the military and political significance of the battle on the hilltop "T" in frustrating the attempt of the U.S. imperialists to launch the "new offensive", he decided to repulse the enemy's attack at one blow.

In order to smash the sinister attempt of the U.S. imperialists and defend the hilltop "T", it was necessary to build up the Korean People's Army forces on the hilltop as soon as possible. And as instructed by the President, they opened fire at once at the very moment when the enemy started moving to occupy the attack position.

The powerful artillery firepower of the KPA instantly reduced the battle order of the enemy to smithereens.

As such, the wise leadership of the President foiled the U.S. imperialists' scheme for "new offensive" totally from its start. -0-
