Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in the provinces (municipalities) of the DPRK on August 14 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Present there were officials of the Party and power organs, working people's organizations and industrial establishments in local areas of the DPRK and working people.

At the meeting, the reporters paid immortal glory and highest tribute to President Kim Il Sung, the peerless patriot of all generations, reflecting the unanimous mind of all the people greeting the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

They paid high tribute to the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and patriotic martyrs who won the victory in the sacred anti-Japanese war and provided a solid cornerstone of prosperity by devoting themselves to building the country and defending it.

Thanks to the August 15 liberation brought about by the President, the country could regain its lost dignity and a genuine people's country firmly defending the people's life could emerge in the arena of history, they said.

They stressed that the outstanding patriotic exploits of the President who clarified the idea and strategy of self-reliant independence for the first time in the history of the national liberation struggle in colonial countries and led the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory to save the country and the people who had fallen into misery would shine forever.

They said that the new generation could celebrate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation with pride as they fought unyieldingly, overcoming all difficulties in order to defend the dignity of the country that the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and the preceding generations achieved through bloody struggle and reliably handed down and carry on the prosperity of the country forever. They also said that all the fruitions are proud and honorable.

They referred to the fact that the high dignity, prestige and strong national power of the DPRK in which they have achieved by faithfully upholding the idea of people-first principle and the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clearly show what results the growing patriotic faith and struggle will bring through centuries.

The reporters called upon all the officials, Party members and other working people to devote themselves to the sacred patriotic cause to glorify the country defended by the forerunners as a stronger and more prosperous country under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. -0-
