Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- A telemedicine system is further improving in the DPRK public health sector.

All the provincial general hospitals in the country have been equipped with hundreds of extra IT machines of 10-odd kinds so as to better the system for an operation through videoconferencing.

At hospitals in Pyongyang, work was also conducted to ensure the normal operation of the telemedicine system so that all the regional hospitals could get assistance in medical treatment.

Meanwhile, measures to improve the rapid consultation and diagnosis were taken. And rapid diagnoses and proper remedies have been ensured keeping in touch with each other through IT means.

Through the telemedicine system, tens of thousands of telemedicine consultations, thousands of online technical lectures, etc. took place this year. -0-
