DPRK Forestry Sector Fulfills Plan for Planting Trees in Cyclic Felling Area

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in the DPRK forestry sector are making successes in planting trees in the cyclic felling area.

Efforts were directed to the work for increasing the forest resource. As a result, tens of millions of trees have been planted this year as planned.

The Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau planted more than 8.3 million trees of 10-odd species under a detailed plan based on the area of planting trees and the topographical features.

The South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau resolved the sci-tech problems arising in growing and planting seedlings.

The North Phyongan Provincial Forestry Management Bureau has given tree-planting assignments to all the units and taken measures to supply nutrient solution so as to raise the survival rate.

Officials and workers of the Kangwon Provincial Forestry Management Bureau and other units are paying primary attention to growing well all the saplings, while directing efforts to storing and taking care of seedlings needed for next year's tree-planting. -0-
