Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK Saturday observes the Constitution Day.

The Constitution of the DPRK is the most popular one as it was enacted with the people's demands and interests as absolute standards and it grants genuine freedom and rights to the people and legally ensures the conditions for their substantial realization, says Rodong Sinmun in an article.

There are many countries in the world and they have their own constitutions, but there is no such code of laws as the DPRK Constitution that pushes forward with the state building and social development under the absolute support of all the people.

The DPRK Constitution is a firm guideline guaranteeing the dignity and independent development of the state.

It specifies the successes achieved in our own way and by our own efforts in the revolution and construction and also comprehensively legalizes the state's independent policies for the political, economic, cultural and defence fields.

The DPRK Constitution is a powerful weapon for protecting and ensuring the rights, interests and happiness of the people.

It stipulates the principles for substantially giving all the people the position and role as masters of everything, and for providing them with all kinds of welfare.

Today it is steadily being amended and supplemented to fully conform with the people's interests.

The DPRK Constitution is lifeline to the state building and the precious wealth of all the citizens as it regards the people as the dearest, serves them thoroughly and ensures that the independent stand and socialist principles are fully embodied in state building.

Minju Joson in an editorial says that it is a high pride of the DPRK people to have the Constitution, the Juche-oriented political charter and code of the people firmly guaranteeing the prosperity and eternal future of our great state. -0-
