Peat Processing Branch Inaugurated in Ryanggang Province

Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- Ryanggang Province of the DPRK newly built a peat processing branch in the Paekam Coal Mine.

The completion of a fuel production base with a depot, drying ground, sci-tech learning space and cultural and welfare facilities in a place with the favorable natural and geographical conditions laid another foundations for the development of the local economy and the improvement of the people's living standard.

An inaugural ceremony of the peat processing branch was held on the spot on October 17.

Present there were Ri Thae Il, chief secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and employees of the coal mine, builders and working people in Paekam County.

Kim Chol Nam, chairman of the provincial people's committee, made an inaugural address at the ceremony. -0-
