Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in Kangwon Province of the DPRK are striving to increase the disaster-prevention capability.

The construction of reservoirs, irrigation waterways and irrigation facilities has been completed and the coastal embankment and river improvement projects are progressing apace.

Cities and counties have pushed ahead with afforestation, anti-land-sliding and other projects by their own efforts while taken preventive measures to cope with natural disasters. -0-
