Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Tuesday dedicates an article to the 65th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's official visit to Vietnam.

Staying in Vietnam from November 28 to December 2, Juche 47 (1958), Kim Il Sung made an immortal contribution to the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Vietnam and the accomplishment of the socialist cause through his energetic external revolutionary activities, the article says, and goes on:

His historic official visit to Vietnam served as a political occasion providing a solid foundation for the development of the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations and ushering in the origin of the good tradition of fraternal and comradely friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.

The DPRK-Vietnam friendship has developed on good terms with each passing day on the basis of the comradely relations forged by President Kim Il Sung and President Ho Chi Minh.

Under the leadership of Kim Il Sung, the Korean people shared their intentions and affections and fought in close cooperation with the Vietnamese people in the harsh and arduous struggle against the imperialist aggressors, their common enemy.

In order to add luster to the history and tradition of the DPRK-Vietnam friendship provided by Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il met with the party and state leaders of Vietnam on several occasions and put the friendly relations between the two countries onto a new level.

The DPRK-Vietnam friendly and cooperative relations, successfully carried forward by the preceding leaders of the two countries, have developed into the special comradely and strategic relations with the historic official goodwill visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam made by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un in March Juche 108 (2019) as a momentum.

The Workers' Party of Korea and the people of the DPRK would make every effort to comprehensively strengthen and develop the friendship and solidarity with the Vietnamese people in the future, too. -0-
