Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex in the DPRK completed the project for improving the performance of generator No. 3.

The operation of the generating equipment proved that its technical and economic indices, such as thermal efficiency, combustion efficiency and coal consumption, were improved as compared with the previous ones and, in particular, the generating capacity increased by over 15 000 kW.

Through the operation, experience and technology were accumulated to improve the performance of generating equipment at not only the complex but also all other thermal power plants in the country. This will make it possible to produce billions of more kWh of electricity every year with the existing generating equipment.

At present, the generator No. 3 is operating at a high level. -0-
