Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- The Chongchongang Thermal Power Plant in the DPRK is making successes by dint of science and technology.

The power plant has significantly organized events to congratulate and appraise the workers and technicians standing in the vanguard of technical innovation movement and taken practical measures to apply the valuable sci-tech proposals in practice.

In close contact with relevant units, it developed a new device capable of measuring the amount of fuel injected into boiler in real time.

The technology of automatic digital control of the drum water level was newly explored and applied to ensure the safety of boiler operation and increase the production of superheated steam while saving hundreds of tons of coal.

The plant also introduced a technology for preventing corrosion of equipment. -0-
