Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- A contest of welders took place at the construction site of the Tanchon Power Station No. 1 from June 11 to 21 as part of the "Contest of Skilled Workers according to Occupations and Sectors of National Economy-2024".

The contest brought together excellent welders selected from ministries, national institutions and provincial people's committees.

The participants showed their technical skills trained on major fronts and correctly ensured the quality indices required by pressure iron pipe conduit welding.

On June 21, the standings were announced and trophies, medals and diplomas as well as prizes awarded to the excellent skilled workers.

Kim Kyong Sik, a worker of the Puryong Hydropower Construction Enterprise, came first in the contest. -0-
