Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- Factories and enterprises in the key industrial sector of the DPRK are boosting production.

The smelters of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex have striven to ensure the highest level of molten iron production every day while reducing the fuel consumption. And the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex has provided a guarantee for the increased production of iron and steel by raising the operating rate of oxygen blast furnaces.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex are boosting production while launching a technical innovation movement and ensuring the normal operation of equipment.

The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, the Chongchongang Thermal Power Station and other units have conducted a technical innovation movement to increase the operation time of boilers and turbo-generators and raise the overall efficiency of power stations, thus bringing about clear results in the immediate production of electricity and the project for sustained development.
