Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- Universities and schools in North Phyongan Province are making successes by directing efforts to improving the educational conditions and environment.

Universities and schools in the field of general education in the province have produced over 19 500 pieces of experimental apparatuses and teaching materials of more than 460 kinds this year.

Teachers of Phihyon College of Land Management and Sinuiju College of Technology have manufactured dozens of experimental equipment including microwave sterilizer and PLC control device to improve the effectiveness of practical education.

Phyongbuk University of Technology and Sinuiju Medical University developed an experimental device for ultrasonic application and produced experimental apparatuses and teaching materials such as automatic high-pressure sterilizer to contribute to improving the laboratory and practical education.

Teachers of Amnokgang Secondary School No. 1 and Kusong Secondary School No. 1 invented and introduced computer pH measuring device, dust collector and a device showing principle of corona discharge to help improve practical ability of students.

Sinuiju Foreign Languages School introduced a teaching method of analyzing pronunciation according to different languages and improving speaking ability through games to develop the intellectual and creative ability of students.

The general education sector in Sinuiju and Jongju cities produced more than 200 experimental apparatuses and teaching materials including crossword robot and electromagnet-based dual electric system. -0-
