Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- According to Minju Joson, North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK has pushed forward with afforestation in a planned way over the past ten-odd years.

So far the province has created more than 52 000 hectares of wild-fruit tree forests and over 34 000 hectares of firewood forests.

The county of Singye has made more than 5 000 hectares of pine-nut tree forests every year, and the county of Thosan has produced and supplied a lot of wild fruit saplings every year by effectively operating the mother tree nursery and the nursery in forest.

Yonthan County chose the land for firewood and planted acacias, etc. on it through a mass campaign, and Kumchon County boosted the rate of rooting of saplings by planting them in line with the technical requirements. -0-
