Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation and symposium in the field of sericulture and silk industry took place at the Sericulture and Silk Industrial Bureau from October 21 to 23 under the sponsorship of the Korean Sericulture and Silk Technology Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Present there were teachers, researchers, field officials and three-revolution team members of more than 70 units including the Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences, the Sericulture Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture, Nampho University of Agriculture and the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill.
Submitted to the presentation were valuable papers conducive to the long-term development of the sericulture and silk industry.
The symposium discussed the scientific and technological proposals for making artificial feeds for mulberry silkworms to industrialize silkworm-raising. -0-
