Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Officials of the DPRK Ministry of Construction and Building-Materials Industry are organizing the economic work for increased cement production on the basis of scientific calculation.

The ministry has concentrated all efforts on the work to shorten the period of equipment repair after learning about the capacity of equipment and their operation at the cement producers.

It gave concrete duties to raise the production capacity to a higher level and reviewed the results of the work while solving the problems arising in the production lines and equipment operation.

Thanks to the help and guidance of officials of the ministry, the Sunchon Cement Complex is pushing ahead with the work to increase the number of kiln operation days and reduce the time of repairing all kinds of equipment.

At the Chonnaeri Cement Factory, officials of the ministry are striving to settle the problems arising in improving the quality of cement with the help of scientific research institutes.

In the meantime, the ministry has paid efforts to the work for stepping up the overhaul of the glass melting furnace and increasing the variety of glass products and improving their quality at the Taean Friendship Glass Factory. -0-
