Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The mining industry sector of the DPRK has concluded the readjustment and reinforcement planned for this year and registered higher production results than last year.

The Hyesan Youth Mine produced the materials needed for mineral production with the raw materials which is abundant in the country, improved the performance of equipment and ensured their normal operation, thus providing a guarantee for carrying out its yearly plan.

The Unpha Mine reinforced electric-car motors and narrow-gauged railroads and carried more than 1 000 tons of ores on a daily average in the second half of the year.

The team of technicians of the December 5 Youth Mine produced and installed equipment necessary for the normal operation of crystal mirabilite production process by the appointed date, thus increasing the production by 1.5 times as compared with the same period of last year.

The Munphyong Smeltery over-fulfilled its monthly index plan by solving the problems in ensuring the smooth operation of calcination-sulfuric acid production line and the electrolysis process, and the Manpho Smeltery is carrying out its production plan higher than last year's.

The Phungnyon Mine finished installing jaw crushers and conical crushers and increased the capacity of transport equipment. And it is pushing forward with the project for improving the quality index of phosphorus concentrates.

The Kangson Mining Machine Parts Factory manufactured and installed equipment of dozens of kinds and built a new process for producing hard alloys. -0-
