Number of Farmers Involved in On-line Educational System Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, many agricultural workers across the DPRK have enrolled in the study-while- working on-line education system.

At the on-line education faculty of Pyongyang University of Agriculture, more than one thousand and hundreds of farmers are studying through on-line education and the number of applicants is increasing day by day.

This year, the number of farmers' entrants is 1.5 times as compared with that of last year.

At the Ponghwa Farm in Kangdong County, more than 40 farmers have joined the study-while-working on-line education system this year, of which more than 30 persons are ordinary farmers. Among them are young people, bumper croppers and housewives.

Farmers of the Hyongsan Vegetable Farm in Hyongjesan District and many other farms are joining the study-while-working educational system.

Many farmers have been enrolled in the on-line education system of agricultural universities in different regions including Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture and Haeju Kim Je Won University of Agriculture.

Tens of farmers of the Migok Farm in Sariwon City are studying through on-line education system. The farm provides farmers with conditions for study and encourages them to study hard through review and valuation on several occasions. -0-
