Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- Officials, creators and artistes in the field of stage art in the DPRK are briskly conducting artistic creation and motivation activities for increased production.

The Phibada Opera Troupe is pushing ahead with the work to create new forms of performances, which show famous songs and scenes of the five revolutionary operas created and completed under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, and new operas, and directing efforts to creating songs on the theme of patriotism.

The National Folk Art Troupe is creating art pieces showing the rapid development of the country and the vibrant spirit of the times and, at the same time, making progress in the work to recreate musical and dance works which gave deep impressions to the people in the past.

The creative group of the National Theatrical Troupe is perfecting a short play showing the validity and vitality of the regional development policy in the new era, and stepping up preparations to put on the stage the revolutionary drama "Mountain Shrine" by representing it again.

The National Acrobatic Troupe is creating peculiar and high-tech physical acrobatics and jugglery works. The creators and artistes of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Pyongyang Puppet Company are striving to produce orchestral music with great artistic influence and deep emotion and marionette shows of diverse themes.

At major socialist construction sites seething with the struggle to implement the decisions of the plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, artistes of art troupes in Pyongyang and local areas encouraged the masses to raise their enthusiasm for the revolution and struggle through mobile frontline-style motivation activities for increased production. -0-
